~immune booster tea~

this photo was taken at the beloved max patch outside of asheville, north carolina. it is one of my favorite places to harvest herbs - and just look at all that gorgeous red clover! so as fall begins to creep in, our immune system needs a little boost and extra protection against the changing weather. the following herbal blend is my favorite for the immune system. find these herbs in a bulk section of your health food store. it is quite alright if you cannot find them all.

rosehips

peppermint

orange peel

calendula

red clover

oregon grape root

goldenseal

~grab a healthy pinch of each and place in a cooking pot. pour four cups of water and barely bring it to a boil. turn off the stove and cover. let the herbs steep for 10 minutes. strain and place into a large mason jar. sweeten with honey and sip through out the day.
